The Wall by New York sculptor Forrest ?Frosty? Myers, consists of 42 aluminum bars bolted to 42 steel braces. It was originally erected in 1973 on 599 Broadway, the building at the southwest corner of Broadway and Houston St. ..In 2002 The Wall was removed to make way for advertising. However, after five years of combined efforts by the artist and community groups, the Wall was restored in 2007 with limited street level space to accomodate advertising.
