New York, NY - Circa 1989 -- After the City bulldozed a Shanty Town, just off the West Side Highway and south of the 34th street Heliport, at dawn, these homeless men moved into an abandoned car seeking shelter against the snow storm. Officials cited concerns that the tents and tarmacs might get caught up in helicopter blades. This land has since been developed and is now part of Hudson River Park.
